Inaugural Forum: Policy And Governance Approaches to Mitigation of Carbon Emissions in Southeast Asia's Forests. The inaugural Forum will be conducted in a hybrid format on Monday, December 11, 2023. Organized by Monash Indonesia as part of the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN)-funded project, participants have the option to attend in person at Monash University, Indonesia Campus (Ciliwung Room 5.07), Green Office Park 9 BSD, Tangerang.
The aim of this event is to facilitate dialogue and cultivate new collaborations among researchers in Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia, addressing the complex, dynamic, and transdisciplinary challenge of carbon emission and climate issues. The timing of this forum is especially opportune as it aligns with UNFCCC COP 28 in Dubai. This Knowledge Exchange Seminar is the first in a series of seminars aimed at establishing a network in Southeast Asian Peatlands study and supporting Early Career Researchers (ECRs) to connect with scholars across disciplines.
Three presenters, specializing in different but interrelated disciplines, will share their experiences. Following their presentations, there will be a 30-minute panel discussion and questions from the audience.
